Mixvoip becomes Luxembourg’s #2 fixed-line telephony operator
Luxembourg’s fixed telephony market has shifted significantly over the past four years. According to ILR reports, Mixvoip has increased its direct market share for fixed-line minutes from 2.9% in 2020 to 6.3% in 2024, becoming the country’s second-largest operator for fixed-line telephony.
However, Mixvoip’s impact extends beyond its own direct customers. Some of the biggest and smallest international telecom operators trust Mixvoip as their local enabler in Luxembourg. We manage the routing of calls, number portability, and regulatory compliance reporting for their Luxembourg-based customers, ensuring they meet local requirements while maintaining seamless service for end users.
When this wholesale and partner traffic is included, Mixvoip is responsible for handling over 10% of all fixed-line telephony traffic in Luxembourg. This demonstrates not just our growth as a service provider, but also the trust global telecom brands place in our infrastructure and expertise.
A journey built on trust, teamwork, and a fair market
Mixvoip began its story in 2008 with limited capital and a big ambition. Our success would not have been possible without the customers — especially the early adopters — who trusted us from the very beginning. We owe a special thanks to the dedicated Mixvoip team, whose hard work and focus on putting the customer first continue to drive our growth.
We also recognize the important role of Luxembourg’s regulator, ILR. By providing a strong and fair framework, ILR made it possible for new entrants like Mixvoip to access the market and compete on equal terms, fostering a healthier telecom ecosystem for everyone.
